The CHS Drama class's end-of-the-semester plays will take place in January and February.  Show dates at Cedarcrest High School are as follows:

6th period Advanced drama class present the children's show: Little Red and the Power Mutants - Monday, January 30th at 7:00pm

1st period Advanced drama class presents:

GREASE IS THE WORD!!

 

 The CHS Theatre and Music department announce auditions for the Spring Musical Grease!

 

Play Synopsis: 

Rydell High's spirited class of '59-gum-chewing, hub-cap-stealing, hotrod-loving boys with ducktails and leatherjackets and their wise-cracking girls in teased curls, bobby sox, and pedal pushers-capture the look and sound of the 1950s in a rollicking musical that salutes the rock 'n' roll era. While hip Danny Zuko and wholesome Sandy Dumbrowski resolve the problems of their mutual attraction for each other, the gang sings and dances its way through such nostalgic scenes as the pajama party, the prom, the burger palace, and the drive-in movie.

 

Audition Information:

Dates: Monday, February 6^th -Wednesday, February 8^th.

 Call-backs: Thursday, February 9^th

Time: 2:15-5:30pm

Place: CHS Theatre

Rehearsals will begin Monday, February 13^th and run M-F from 2:30-5:30.

 

Audition Requirements:

*Please have a song prepared to sing accapella. A good choice would be a Broadway style song.

*You will also be asked to read from the script and learn a short dance number. Please wear clothes you can move comfortably in.
